In the early 1980’s Mr George Melas the founder and Chief Executive of Waterworld Holdings Ltd and G.L.F. MELAS ENTERPRISES LTD, had a vision to create a leisure facility here in Cyprus that would be a market leader in the industry. His vision became reality when, after much planning and considerable hard work, Waterworld Waterpark opened its doors to the public in 1996.

Waterworld Themed Waterpark has rapidly become one of the most popular tourist attraction in Cyprus, with over four million guests to date. Waterworld Themed Waterpark is owned by G.L.F. MELAS ENTERPRISES LTD & Mr Richard Hill. Waterworld is a member of the World Water Association (WWA) and I.A.P.P.A. (International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions). The Chief Executive Officer of Marketing, Mrs Suzanne Melas was the President of the E.W.A. from 2002 to 2005.

The park has already received over 25 International Awards for its imagination, marketing strategies and appearance. Its theming, based on ancient Greek mythology and the many facilities it offers, ensures and very pleasant day out for our guests and a comfortable environment for all who work here. Carefully planning and a phased growth of the park has meant that it has offered something new for our guests each season, whilst maintaining a high profile in the leisure industry. The management team and the staff take pride in the safety and cleanliness that have been the hallmarks of its success.
