VAT Rebate: You have to pay the listed price at shops that are licensed to sell specific items. You then fill up a Customs Declaration form, if you are not a Cypriot obviously, and get it stamped at the shop. At the airport please allow enough time for the refund process before your flight departs. Submit the form, receipt and show the goods bought to Customs, who will countersign and send you to a tax rebate booth. Make sure the goods are unused. Don’t pack them away in your check-in luggage as you will need to show them to the Customs Officer. VAT in Cyprus is nine percent (9%).

Remember: Incomplete Tax Free Form = No refund
If in a rush, mail your stamped, completed Tax Free Forms using the Global Blue envelope and receive your refund on your credit card. Adding your e-mail address on the Tax Free Form enables quicker and more effective communication between you and Global Blue Customer Services. Please observe that at some airports a cash handling fee per ‘Form’ will be charged should you require an Immediate Refund in cash. The refund you receive is the VAT minus Global Blue’s service fee.
